I called Suddenlink today and told them to cancel my internet service, hilarity ensued

    So believe it or not I'm trying to cut the internet out of my life, I am posting this with my phone that is connected to my Wi-Fi in my car I don't have internet inherently on my phone.
    And I have to have the internet in some form to take payments so that's why I have that.
    So I called today and asked them to cancel my service. Normally when you do something like this they have a lot of tricks that they can do to keep you. Number one being do you own your own modem or are you leasing your modem.
    To their chagrin I actually own my own modem.
    so when I ask them to cancel my service the lady said she'd have to place me on hold.
    Next thing you know I'm speaking to a supervisor. And he wants to know why I want to cancel my service. I told him it's a personal choice. And he could not believe that.
    He first offered to reduce my bill in half just for me to think about it. And then after that he says he can give me a month free.
    I told him I don't want a month free I want you to cancel my service.
    I felt like I was in an episode of The twilight zone to be honest.
    I don't need the internet I waste too much time on it as it is.

    What is hilarious about that? Pretty much standard procedure for trying to cancel anything. The hilarity would be if they said, “ok” and they do it in less than 2 minutes,

    Its a mockery of the internet with catchy phrases that mean absolutely nothing. Its very obvious What spends most of his days reading articles from wanna journalist who are nothing more than amateur bloggers. He is reinforcing his reason why he should stay away from the internet. He has no self control.

    What is probably a die hard Trump support who spends his late nights having arguments on facebook with fattyfat b*stard.

    Just got off the phone with a friend of mine who works for Suddenlink. He said some guy called up wanting to cancel his service. They kept trying to convince him to stay. After he got off the phone, all the Suddenlink employees just laughed and laughed.
