Hell of a series. My dumb ass didn’t realize the Expos are the Nationals though.

Soto makes the error to open the floodgates.

    We can dream, can't we?

maybe we shouldn't be talking about mda being on the hot seat... but rather aj hinch? to have this much talent and to have the most complete baseball team in every way possible and lose 4 straight home games?

mda has his coaching blunders but the rockets were up against maybe the single most talented team of all time.. and the rockets weren't exactly stacked with depth like the astros are.

how tf do you take out greinke when it was clear he was having one of those dominant pitching outings that all aces have every so often?

This dumb team needs to stop swinging for the fences and work walks. Just get on base and keep the train moving.

Give them credit. They had the road team advantage and took advantage of it. What a weird series.

Yeah, I think the move should have been keep Cole warm for next inning depending how Greinke handled the rest of inning etc. Cole you want to bring in the whole inning, just Wtf, might have still have been hard with no bats but maybe better... ,.... Let's hope for a miracle here

The 1-4 innings, we only got 1 run killed us. If Verlander gave up 3 HRs, he wasn't pulled. Then Greinke gave up 1 HR and get pulled. Hinch won the game for the Nats, Dave Martinez enjoyed the ride. We got punked by Mr Juan derful.

Hinch about to have an entire offseason where he gets crushed for managing this game like a bad Little League coach. He completely panicked after the Rendon HR/Soto walk and handled the bullpen about as poorly as possible. And unless we find out that Cole just wasn't up to snuff in his warm-ups, you have to question leaving him glued to the bench.

Next season the Astros absolutely need to throw this pitching strategy in the trash.

It was almost better in 2017 when they would hack at any and everything, even first pitches, rather than trying to lower thier strikeout numbers looking at great pitches to swing at.

Cole is on two days rest and hasn’t come in for relief since college so there was no history to suggest that he would prevail. In this case it WAS where you had been. Zack was going to face the lower half of the line up who had been baffled. He had given up ONE bad pitch in 77 friggin pitches. One bad pitch. Had that been JV he gives him the long leash but since it as Zack he panicked.....
