Unfortunately our pass defense is ranked 122 out of 130. For some reason I’m more worried about this game than last year’s.
Jimmy G @jimmygards “The world is going to call y’all football players. Nah nah nah, caballeros” [laughs mischievously to self] “y’all are soul sherpas in a sweat lodge of e-qua-nim-i-ty. Kiss the fire, sensei. Coo to the mighty Jayhawk. Seek ba-lance in the koi pond inside you.”
Heed the call, legionnaires. The Land Runners are lurkin. Wily Okies hidin’ out in the brush and ravines, man. There will be no handshake in this crusade. No covenant. We’re fightin’ for that Red River. El Río Rojo, k? Be deliberate. There will be no spiritual residuals. Onward”
“You’ll recall the teachings of Sun Tzu: ‘if you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of your enemies will float by. ’ Let that rattle in the bones, Tomás. No need to go right for that jugular. Let those Okie bandits sabotage themselves. Crimson blood in that Río Roja, k?”
Herman's getting outcoached. This offense has looked like garbage -- I'm not sure who keeps calling the QB draw plays but clearly it isn't working. You put yourself in a 3rd and long each time, you're not scoring even on this terrible OU secondary. This is all 100% on Herman.
Riley is running circles around Herman. It's amusing. Tim Beck and Herman don't even know what to do against a lousy defense like OU. To have 0 pts against this defense at halftime is indefensible. The only silver lining for Texas is that Hurts has made a couple of boneheaded decisions by two unforced turnovers.
It's one thing to start slow though. This is simply terrible on the play calling side. We're literally working with 2 downs each time because an extra down is wasted on some dumb play like a QB draw that isn't going to work when it's predictable as ****.
