True, but the audience is still completely r****ded when it comes to films like “There Will be Blood” or “Phantom Thread”, etc. It’s good to have both scores. I’m so excited for Ad Astra because the audience hates it.
Don’t get me wrong. I totally agree. Critics know quality better than the audience, who generally just want to watch comic book movies for the 800th time.
Apparently he's in town doing a show tonight, https://www.houseofblues.com/houston/EventDetail?tmeventid=3A005747164D6D3E Probably impossible to get tickets unless you already got a heads up on it.
no luck for me, I got stuck at like #1170, then the countdown ended as I was next to buy, but looks like everybody got that message when it sold out
Post from HOB facebook. 2nd Show tonight. JUST ANNOUNCED -- Dave Chappelle in Bronze Peacock Room TONIGHT! Tickets go on sale to the general public today at 3PM.
A friend of an employee told me they were thinking about shutting down the open mic because it was so dead, then Dave showed up. So, less than seven?
Dave Chappelle was just awarded the Mark Twain Prize in American Humor, from the Kennedy Center. https://www.kennedy-center.org/pages/specialevents/marktwain PBS has the 2 hour or so ceremony, look for it because it's hilarious.
