Unfortunately, rings are just one of those things that blind people when attempting to measure and compare individual greatness. While casuals can make an argument of ignorance, sports media cannot and it is disgusting how much they will ignore context or twist facts to push their agendas. People seem to forget that KD didn't even win a ring until he joined arguably the greatest team of our decade. LBJ didn't win a ring until he joined 2 other superstars IN THEIR PRIME. Garnett and Pierce both didn't win until they hooked up with each other and Ray in Boston. Kawhi had a healthy Lowry and very good supporting cast, something we had until CP3 went down with a hammy injury on the cusp of victory and then it all fell apart.

Most, especially the haters on this board, choose to ignore this because it doesn't fit into their twisted agenda.

Considering Hardens the only one on that list to not win a ring, I'd say that's pretty damn fair.

Rings is a TEAM thing. It should never, ever affect player comparisons. There is absolutely zero reason that Harden should be tied with Kawhi or behind Curry.

I think they are tied because Harden has a FAR superior statistical resume over the entirety of the decade compared to Kawhi, but........... RINGSZZZ!

So Kawhi gets that bump even though you look at his numbers and they don’t stack up with any of the other 4 top guys

Regular season win shares for the decade
    1: Lebron
    2: Durant
    3: Harden
    5: Curry
    22: Kawhi

Postseason win shares for the decade
    1: Lebron
    2: Durant
    3: Leonard
    4: Curry
    5: Harden

    2. KD
    T3. Harden
    T3. Steph
    4. Kawhi

I think both are equal, if not better than Harden individually. Player of the decade is a very subjective statement, and people will always value rings to an extent when talking about players.

Attendance should count especially on a all decade team

LOL I was just watching a basketball prediction video about the Rockets and they referenced this exact sequence. Then I turn to my laptop and I see this gif streaming lmao. What are the odds?

Um because none of those guys could have have replaced harden and single handedly carried the rockets to a chip

If harden replaced curry or kd on gsw he already has multiple rings now

    coulda shoulda woulda.
This is a list for the decade that has almost passed. If Harden wins it will be in the next decade, another list for that not this one.
In this decade Kawhi has won 1/5 of the available trophies and was also one of the main reasons his teams won. He has two FMVPs.

With the comparison of actual accomplishments being so far against Harden, the writer of that list is probably a huge Harden fan, to even have him tied with a multiple times champion in Kawhi.

Who knows. I think that Lebron and Kawhi could have done that, but we can never know.

Because in actuality, Harden's regular season achomplishments dwarf Kawhi's while Harden has kept it close enough in the post season stats wise. Harden continually faced stacked GS teams. Kawhi played with 3 HOF players and the goat coach. Then Kawhi beat an extremely diluted version of the Warriors to win that second title. Also....Harden is a better player.

Amazing to see there’s still folks out here acting like kawhi isn’t a great player. Good ole cf’s. Perhaps the 3rd pair of trophies might do the trick. Maybe not

Draymond Green needs to be up there ahead of harden. Draymond Green gave Harden a lobotomy in the playoffs then whooped his ashe!

of course it was distasteful to see what kawhi did in san antonio
