This is the same man that predicted the Republicans would crush in the 2018 midterms.

This is also the same man that predicted Mitt Romney would be President with over 300 electoral votes.

This is also the same man that predicted Sarah Palin would win the Presidency in 2012.

This is also the same man that led the epic 1994 Republican takeover of Congress and the "Contract with America".

LMFAO That is really what you are going to hang your hat on? Something 25 years ago that ultimately flamed out in failure and let Clinton have a strong re-election?

I get it, you saw a headline that is optimistic of your political position, but in the future actually think things out. Newt Gingrich's predictions have been terrible the last decade or more.

I don't actually watch the debates because of exactly what you say. But, there's plenty of other channels where candidates can communicate in long form. There are talk shows that would be happy to have them on. They have their websites where they can explain their positions. They can do their own speeches on Youtube. There's twitter. They can do an AMA on Reddit. And, they can be on the nightly news if they'll say something deplorable. I just think it's pretty interesting how it seems to be evolving that if you can't qualify for whatever rules someone made up for this one platform than you might as well quit. Somehow, even though it's a pretty poor way to get to know your candidates, its the gatekeeper to the nomination.

And then had to resign because of a revolt in his own party.

For those of you waiting to find out who Elon Musk supports before making your decision, he has come out today for Andrew Yang, because he would be our first openly "Goth" president.

    Elon Musk: 'I support Yang'

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Saturday indicated support for Democratic Presidential candidate Andrew Yang after Yang tweeted that he didn't expect supporters to agree with him on everything.

"I support Yang," Musk tweeted, following up with a second tweet that "He would our first openly goth president. I think this is very important."

So, there it is. Musk is a kook, for those of you who have not been keeping up.

Lefty political commentator Bill Scher believes that there is not room for both Sanders and Warren in the primary contest, and one of them has to go. If that happens, the other will presumably hoover up most of the support for the other and thereby become a very formidable candidate for the Democrat presidential nomination.

Not Enough Room in 2020 Primary for Sanders and Warren

Biden’s current lead is hardly insurmountable. He generally polls in the low 30s nationally. In post-debate state polls, he notched 28% support in Iowa, and just 21% in New Hampshire. If you took the two candidates with the greatest appeal on the left – Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren – and melded them together, that candidate would tie Biden in Iowa and beat him in New Hampshire.

However, neither Sanders nor Warren has any incentive to step aside for the other. Each polls well enough to justify staying in the race, as almost every national and state poll has them in second or third place. And each has built a huge small-donor base — approximately 746,000 donors for Sanders and 421,000 for Warren, according to the New York Times — which will keep them well-financed throughout the primaries.

But there’s no getting the around the fact that Sanders and Warren are in each other’s way. If Biden’s level of support has a hard floor of around 30% nationally and in Iowa, then neither Sanders nor Warren can afford to splinter the leftist vote, especially because there’s so little either can poach from the second- and third-tier candidates.

Coming out of the socialist bracket, there can be only one. But with neither of these two looking like they are even thinking of stepping aside for the other, determining who that survivor will be is likely to take a while and this contest could become very contentious.

Beto O'Roarke is out trying to stir the pot and get some media attention for his failing candidacy by playing the race card in the most indiscriminate and sweeping manner that he can come up with.

Beto: Let's Face It, It's 'Really Hard' Not To Consider All Trump Voters Racists

It's "deplorables" all over again, but even worse. Remember, Hillary Clinton only smeared half of Trump supporters are irredeemably bigoted. O'Rourke appears to slime all Trump voters here, stating that it's "really hard" to see a 2020 Trump vote as anything other than a racist act. CNN's Jake Tapper poses the question -- which strikes me as a natural one, given Beto's nonstop racial rhetoric -- and after pausing for a beat or two, the candidate launches headlong into a vast slander:

Do Democrat leftist candidates truly believe that this kind of incendiary racial rhetoric is going to inspire moderate and independent voters who are not already virtually foaming at the mouth with hatred for Donald Trump to want to vote for them?

Didn't virtually every so-called expert who you have any respect for predict that Hillary Clinton was going to handily defeat President Trump in the 2016 presidential election?

Aggregate polling had Donald at a roughly a 15% chance of winning. Seeing as how he won by a total of 70,000 votes out of 100+ million votes, ya it seemed like he was lucky he squeakee by a couple of key swing states by.

In other words, virtually all of your so-called experts were at least as wrong as Newt Gingrich ever was.

    Case closed.

No, they were within the margin of error and were purely data driven. Newt is purely wishful thinking driven when he gives his predictions.
