why the hell does he care so much about perception? You're at the top of the basketball world for talent.... a multi-millionaire..... and you care about public opinion of a straight up trade for D-Lo? Glad hes in the east now tho...

I haven't had my coffee yet, but BK asked GS to sweeten the pot to take KD's corpse and this helps his image how?

    exactly.
    LMAOOOOO

The one who should have given a pick to stroke KD's ego is BKN not GSW.
    Now it's KD + 1st rounder = DLO :D

Also why would GSW even give a damn about KD's fragility? He's not their player anymore.
Instead they would lose flexibility being unable to add this year's pick as a sweetener elsewhere.
Also even if DLO was an UFA how could the GSW be sure that he would have signed with them? Did they even have capspace to sign him outright? I

It sounds to me like bullcrap that Windhorst made up, and bitter scorned Ethan Strauss picked up.

Wait, what - - you don't buy Windy as unassailable fact purveyor? (Mebbe LBJ told him to say it???)

lol Windy out there giving inside info and details on 10 teams.:D Who does he think he is, Broussard?

When Lebron retires, it will be interesting to see how he can survive.
For now he can still pretend to be his confidante, even though Lebron refuses to even speak to him.

KD had to agree to sign with GS for the sign and trade to happen. If they didn't keep him happy, he could just walk to Brooklyn and GS gets nothing.

    But exactly.
Thats the point. GSW had to give an asset to get the S+T done, because they wanted DLO and couldn't get him without it.
NOT like Windy and Strauss are saying just because they had to protect KD's feelings.

GS is hard capped, they get DLo in the deal, he’s a very good player. Only way GS is adding players now is on deep discount or via low draft picks.

Maybe. We don't know what demands KD made to agree to sign with GS.

You mean to sign with BKN?
But in any way you put it this trade makes it seem like DLO's value is the one who needs both KD and a first and not the other way around.
If anything it should hurt Durants pride instead of stroking it.

Imo this is a smear piece that disgruntled gsw people put out there. More should come in due time. Same with Kyrie.

He doesn't get anything from the players at all.... his comments about James Harden really blew up in his face when several players said he has zero understanding of the culture with NBA players. He worked hard for years, and he was AROUND the Cavs and Heat for years so he personally witnessed somethings. LeBron has no use for him.

Ramona Shelburn basically lives in Jeanie Buss' womb..... she is the mouth piece for the Lakers and will always push what her "buddy" wants. She is **** on any other reporting.

No, to sign with GS. It was a sign and trade.

Exactly, nothing about this makes any kind of sense. Why would Golden State feel compelled to hard-cap themselves, trade away valuable assets, and force their window shut because of the ego of an outgoing player?? More likely is the fact that Golden State didn't want to lose Durant for nothing, knew they couldn't compete in the West with just Steph and Draymond for the majority of next season, and figured hard-capping themselves for a chance at D-Lo and his trade value might be a better short-term solution. Obviously the logic that GS's FO used could be questioned, but obviously nutlickers like Ethan Strauss would never criticize the Warriors organization.
