...at least pretend not to be biased. An opinion page is the headline, ridiculous.

Tim Bontemps is a GSW writer isn't he?

I mean...he’s not wrong. Giannis was always going to win MVP if the Bucks kept winning. They did.

The Klay Thompson pic immediately below is the cherry on top.

"Serious" media has proven itself to be a joke when it comes to reliability; sports media is worse.

If it's close they're not going to give it to Harden...Let's move on!

When the Bucks lose in 5 games to GSW in the Finals, what will the media narrative be then?

Harden can't have any marquee game that potentially solidifies his case as MVP, now and forevermore.

This. Giannis was chosen (by ESPN) as the next MVP before the season began.

Rockets need the 2 seed to give Harden any shot.

The media and NBA need a star to market in the East. Giannis will win b/c it makes the league more money and keeps the media employed.

They ran this article a couple days ago, asking their staff how important narrative was to winning. They all said narrative was less important than stats. But then when they explained why Giannis should be MVP they all focused on narrative instead of stats.

Bontemps is a tool. In the same article he says that Giannis was his preseason pick for MVP. Just shows he doesn't care about how players actually play the games.

"Warriors prove to be too much for the MVP-led Bucks"

    What a disgrace

I hope we can pull off the unthinkable by "cheating the game" and winning the NBA Finals.

What a rigged popularity contest the 'NBA machine' is.

If LeBron, Steph, or Durant had put up these numbers and carried a team they would be the unanimous MVP.

Harden doesn't have a shot now that the Bucks clinched best record with Giannis having absurd stats. Voters have all the ammo they need. It's a wrap.

This reminds me: Why haven't they announced the Player of the Month for March, yet.

I've been saying it for years. When ESPN/TNT is in town for a game and requesting players for access, send guys like Gary Clark and Isiah Hartenstein. Deny access to the big names because frankly they don't deserve the access. They will hate you but they already do so big facking deal. Gotta fight fire with fire.
