That is not true and you know it. Only someone who is obsessed with "identity politics" would even be tempted to draw that conclusion. Just because that is what the Democrats do and that is the lens that the Democrat left sees the world through, it does not actually follow that your political adversaries do as well. In fact, they don't, whether you realize it, or accept it, or not.

    War on Christmas

    White genocide

    Reverse racism

    White nationalism

    Prayers back in school

    Bibles back in school

    Banning Muslim immigrants(explicit campaign promise)

Tweeting about how black people commit more crime(Donald shared a infographic on Twitter about black crime from a self labeled white nationalist group)

    Calling most undocumented immigrants rapists

Using campaign rallies as glorified police blotters by listing every anecdotal voilent crime committed by Mexicans and Muslims to gin up jingoist juices.

Making a blatantly false claim that "thousands upon thousands" of Muslims were celibcelebr in the streets of Jersey City the day of 9/11

Obtaining your core base of supporters from stating that the first black president was born in Africa for multiple years

Suggesting that people who don't stand for the anthem should get out of the country.

Calling NFL athletes sons of b****es for kneeling during the anthem

Pardoning Sherrif Joe for explicitly refusing to a abide by a court order to cease and desist violtong the 4th amendment of citizens by illegally searching and detaining them because of their appearance.

There is plenty of identity politics on both sides and the man you are supporting panders to it all the time. And no, I don't agree with Rocket River here that Trump won just because he was a white male.

Ryan Cooper at "The Week" is plotting the odds and offers recommendations of buy or sell for some of the presumed leading Democrat presidential candidates. A lot of this looks loony to me, but then so do quite a few of the posts that some some of you guys post in this forum, so it occured to me that this might make sense to some of you. Anyway, he included Oprah and recommended a "buy," for what that is worth. He provides a lot more written analysis of each candidate and their odds at the link:

The most overrated and underrated 2020 Democrats

As 2019 begins, here's my highly premature and incomplete handicap of the 2020 primary field, based off the PredictIt prices for who will win at the time of writing. As Vox explains, "The site runs a market on the 2020 race where you can buy 'stock' in any candidate, and each share you own of the candidate will pay out a value of $1 if they win the nomination." Based on those prices, writers at Vox put together a list of overrated and overrated candidates. Here are mine, in order of PredictIt prices:

    The contenders:

Beto O'Rourke. Cost: 19 cents. Verdict: Sell.
Joe Biden. Cost: 18 cents. Verdict: Sell.
Kamala Harris. Cost: 18 cents. Verdict: Sell.
Bernie Sanders. Cost: 15 cents. Verdict: Hold.
Amy Klobuchar. Cost: 11 cents. Verdict: Sell.
Cory Booker. Cost: 9 cents. Verdict: Hold.
Elizabeth Warren. Cost: 8 cents. Verdict: Buy.
Kirsten Gillibrand. Cost: 6 cents. Verdict: Buy.
Oprah. Cost: 3 cents. Verdict: Buy.
Andrew Cuomo. Cost: 1 cent. Verdict: Sell.
Mark Zuckerberg. Cost: 1 cent. Verdict: Sell.
Hillary Clinton. Cost: 1 cent. Verict: Sell.
Michael Bloomberg. Cost: N/A. Verdict: Sell.
Richard Ojeda. Cost: N/A. Verdict: Buy.

Klobochar does not have the rage and hatred that leftists lust after, but she is the true anti-Trump in terms of her personality. Since the Democrats have no actual agenda that they can and will unite around, aside from their neo-Marxist "Political correctness" and "Identity politics" agenda, on what basis can they truly hope to win against Trump?

Even Trump supporters will tell you that his personality flaws make them uncomfortable. This is his weakness. But to exploit that weakness, the Democrat left will have to overcome their hatred and their out of control rage and provide a presidential candidate who people believe really will represent something completely different than that. There does not have to be such a person and in fact, they are rare - few and far between. But there is one among the Democrats, and it is Amy Klobochar.

It does not appear likely that the Democrats will back her - even if she runs - as she does not channel the collective lynch-mob rage the way so many Democrats expect their leaders to do these days. But if they can calm down and control themselves, Klobuchar really could be a candidate that Trump will have a very hard time with. Any candidate who tries to match Trump with his own tactics is almost assuredly doomed. So, if they are smart, the Democrat left will pick someone who will approach this differently. Klobuchar could be that person.

    If she runs, that is.

Klobuchar has zero charisma and is ugly -- she will not be the nominee. My sincerest apologies if this analysis comes through as harsh, but this is the reality brought about by society today.

What has Klobochar done for actual proggresive causes(not your strawman causes) such as being a spine in the banking industry's side for their reckless behavoir? What has she done for fighting money out of politics?

Elizabeth Warren is far better on the actual issues.

@fchowd0311 , I think you're risking missing the point of the article that was posted in the other thread. That "actual progressive causes" thing that you think is so important is perhaps her biggest liability.

If you think that your best chance to win back the White House is with a candidate who specializes in banking and campaign finance issues, then by all means go for it.

I hope Amy Klobuchar does not run. I hope that Elizabeth Warren does run and stays in for as long as she can, with as high a profile in the race as she can muster.

But maybe Kamala Harris is what you guys not only want but truly deserve. That is who I hope wins the nomination for the Democrats. That is who I will be rooting for.

Which is why you aren't the core demographic for primary political ads, no insult implied. Image and perception matters most to the proles, and loyalty to party leadership for the "deciders," not nuanced policy positions or principles.

It's pretty clear we are in the era of celebrity politics.

Figure out who you'd most expect to make a guest appearance on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and that's your nominee.

u need to lift ur head out of the sand and see the Blue Wave

the Blue wave in the 2018 mid-term election has been attributed to one unifying message from the Dem, healthcare

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/midterms.289694/page-47

Democrats won House midterms by largest margin since Watergate scandal

Democrats won the popular vote in the House by a whopping 8.6 million votes in this year's midterms. NBC News reports that number is the largest margin that Democrats have defeated Republicans in a midterm House election since 1974. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ms-largest-margin-since-watergate/2084052002/

It isn’t just white suburban women who switched to Democrats.
Parts of rural and white working class America peeled off too.

the 2018 mid-term election generated the highest off-year turnout in in 50 years.

It was expected that the Dems would gain in the suburbs; but that's not where they realized the biggest gain. Shockingly, the Dems made their biggest gain in the rural areas.

Democrats did not win simply because white women with college degrees rebelled against Mr. Trump’s misogyny, sexism and disrespect for women. Nearly every category of women rebelled

The Democratic wave exposed Trump’s vulnerability and suggests a less polarized country. In the face of his divisive campaign, parts of rural and working class America peeled off..'

You do know the one issue the entire nation can stand behind, redneck or urban gangster, is the phrase "politicians are corupt" and "politicians are influenced by corporate lobbying too much".

How are those not winning issues?

And guess what out of all the current potential candidates in the field, she can actually point to action, not rhetoric. God damnnit our voterbase is god damn pathetic.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would be formidable.

Pretty ironic thread title when we have a clown show running the country.
