No gravy for you. You can go to Canes and then swing by Whataburger for the gravy cup. lol

"Sir...we can't sell you just the gravy cup unless you order the 'Biscuits and Gravy' or the 'Chicken Strip Basket'."

Bump: had to defend Texas and Whataburger vs Cali & In-n-out.

Went to In-n-out last month while in Austin. Seemed like a mediocre burger and terrible fries. I don't get the hype.

I tried them in Southern CA - Hollywood area not too long ago and we all thought they were just ok.

To me, even in Cali, they should have failed on those lame fries alone. But I think they thrive out here b/c the burger (double double) is better than BK, McD's, and Carl's.
    (?) low bar.

In-N-Out’s fries are so bad...the hype that place gets is laughable

one place I can’t believe I used to love is McDonald’s...I hadn’t been there in years but went there during Hurricane Harvey because it was the only place that was open, and it was HORRIBLE...I was sitting there thinking about how I ever could’ve liked that place...I will never go back

I will also NEVER eat a Wendy’s again after my last experience there

Double Double with bacon and Jalapenos.

Put me down as another person who doesn't understand the In and Out hype. No bad, but not impressive either.

Plenty of better burgers around town, but as fast food burgers go, Whataburger is tops no contest.

Wish Whataburger would have the Chop House Burger as a regular menu item. Once I was able to get the Magnolia WB to make me a Chop House even though it wasn't on the menu, but most times they simply look at me with a blank stare. My alternatives are Sweet and Spicy Bacon, Chicken Strips on Texas Toast, and the Chicken Strips with gravy. Oh, and the Honey Chicken on a Bun for breakfast.

Agreed. Chop House Cheddar is probably the best burger I've ever had in my life lol. Too bad they only sell them in like Florida now smh.

I wondered if In and Out was better where it originated
Carl's Jr. . . .was good when I first encountered them in Pheonix and out west years ago
    but
What I tried here did not measure up

Carl's Jr to me tastes like Burger King but it has a slight edge over Burger King for me.

I finally tried White Castle recently and I actually liked it. Don't know if it was because I could only think of the movie when I was there but I thought it was pretty good.

Like Fuddruckers... especially like that you control what's put on your burger with toppings bar... and I also really like the Jalapeno Cheddar Cheeze Wiz for the fries.

This so much. Carl's Jr to me just tastes like larger burger king burgers. Even the fries seem the same to me.

I have probably posted about them before, but the grilled chicken fajita tacos from whataburger are great. Most locations also have a salsa verde that complements them well.

Whether or not, at least we're grown up enough to not self-reference ourselves as "boi"

MOst of both their burgers come with mayo default. Whataburger, Sonic, Dairy Queen, Texas Burger, Texas Style Burger- standard burger is mustard.

Unfortunately WB's sweet & spicy pales in comparison to their old A1 thick & hearty. Guess that was worth it for their grocery supply revenue, selling bottles of their subpar sauces, shoestring potatoes, & tubes of bfast sausage in HEB. Stock down for me.
