Our problem isn't on the offensive end - it's about how we play all year. It was really our defense where we got killed

However we may feel that EG is right, those words by Eric are said to the wrong audience at the wrong time.

    Harden's job= isolate and dominate
    Paul's job= master of the mid-range
    Ariza/Tucker/Luc= 3&D
    Gordon= hit open shots

3 out of the 4 did their job in game 1.

I keep reading this stuff (not here) about how we shouldn't iso or how Curry played solid on D but Harden didn't. Harden averaged like 1.3 ppp, mostly against Curry. gtfo

Apparently Game 1 Rockets had the most ISO possessions over the last 5 years in any NBA game

we lost mainly because of KD ISO and we failed to limit it

Last game looked eerily similar to the old Kevin Mchale days of Rockets basketball. MDA's media interview of him talking about "we gotta do what we do better than them" crap is very Mchale-ish. Sad

We didn't lose to KD iso.

How many of his shots was he bodied and they were long 2s.

If you asked D'Antoni before the series that those shots are what is going to win GS the series, and if they miss Houston advances. He will be giddy.

We lost because we had way too many mental lapses on defense resulting in wide open shots for people like Klay and Young.

We have to play near perfect defense to beat this Warriors juggernaut. We cannot afford to have two players run to the same Warrior.

In game one we did that too many times and we saw the result. 54 points on uncontested looks or whatever it was. That's absolutely atrocious.

Looked like Klay had about 50/54 of those.

    I didn't say that.

However I can say we defended him a lot more than we didn't.

A lot of his shots were just simply because he was inches taller than the defender in his chest. There's simply nothing we can do about that.

I know.... which honestly defies belief... he's literally the first person on the scouting report players are told to find in transition on the wings.

nope you can rewatch all 37 pts easily and at no point was KD left uncontested. for the most part pretty good defense was played on him aside from a play here or there. one of them was when the team didnt find kd and he was open for a 3. (EG was in no mans land and alot of people thought it was on green) the easiest shot he got was in the 1st quarter where harden got his hand on the ball but the ball bounced back to kd and he was able to go in for a dunk. everything was just iso and him making plays himself

well the tape pretty much confirms it even though you didnt say it. none of his shots were uncontested.

just his 3 3 ptrs made, 2 of them were very late contests.. no one was in the vicinty when he catched the ball

and the last one with Harden infront of him, Harden could have definitely contested better without fouling
