There could be a trade lined up for Savage.

Should we bother taking a look at Nolan Carroll? cut yesterday by the Cowboys so probably a bad sign but maybe he needs a new team and a role?

Why would it be a bad sign? It could just mean his criminal record came back clean... just kidding... no I’m not.

More like it looks like Savage is about to get waved.

Honestly I'd like to see the Texans sign Keenum next year to be their backup.

I appreciate those worried about backup QB.
But I don't really care who it is.

Sure, the Texans in particular should know a backup QB can at least help take a team a round deep in the playoffs, but the reality is unless you might have a Tom Brady stashed back there... it's just a backup QB.

Not that I think most disagree... it's just interesting... they worked out 10 players and QB Connor Shaw is the headline in the title. It's the other guys that are potentially more impactful.

With a running QB I would expect that he might miss a few games every now and then. It would be nice to have an adequate backup during those times. At least it looks like Watson can evade most direct hits like Russel Wilson can.

There was a heavy buzz around the rumor mill last year that teams(vikings) wanted him. Weve seen one half of football from him this year behind a terrible o line that had no communication and receivers that dropped balls thrown betwixt their numbers. His arm didnt magically vanish, so if a team with a decent o line thinks hes worth a 6th, Id take it. Although, I think hes more valuable to us a backup if the worst case scenario were to happen.

Love the idea of bringing Case home to backup Watson. That makes sense.

I don't see why we shouldn't. Can't be any worse than Jonathan freakin Banks.

That guy couldn't cover my mattress.

As well as Keenum is doing in Minnesota, I highly doubt that'll be an option. They pulled Bradford for him last week allowing him to lead the team to a comeback victory, and he's set to start yet again this week.

Nah bruh..everywhere he goes, he plays. He’s bad luck to the starter.

Do like Keenum though. Went to UH with him same time (not saying much) lol

I don't see trading Savage now outside of a key/critical injury. He has been an integral part of helping Watson learn the offense.

I can see bringing in a PS QB. We've got a QB coach not doing much right now, and doesn't hurt to have a guy ready in case of injury.
