Sounds about right. I am glad we are having this regression now than six weeks from now. The only thing I will add is that the team we have right now, including injuries, is capable of better baseball than we have seen recently.

Teaching statistics for two years in graduate school... this argument is flawed.

Not sure. There is a blogger who said that though. Decade of Doninance is literally a joke at the MadMax home. Come on.

The Astros have to lose a little to remind us of where we came from!

Maybe they should forfeit a few games.

Go to a nice, cool, pretty place, relax; have a mini baseball camp to remember how to play.

    They would probably be refreshing.

More importantly, it would put them in the historically tried-and-true Astros mode for winning: fighting with another team for a spot the Astros should have easily had locked up.

Anyone not concerned about the reasons why the Astros are loosing right now is either blind as a bat or a ****ing moron.

I'm not concerned about the Astros losing right now. I have 20/20 vision and am fairly intelligent. So **** off.

Tell us the reasons why and I will decide whether to be concerned about it or not :)

If they can go from pitching well to horribly over the span of 6 weeks, why can't they reverse it by playoffs? Why assume that what they are now is what they will be in October anymore so than what they were in June? I'd be concerned if we look like this in mid-September.

In terms of health, no one is out for the season as now, and current projections of all the current injuries are to have everyone back at least a few weeks before the playoffs. Obviously, that could change, and new people could get injured, etc but that's true of everyone. Keuchel/McCullers are obviously a red flag - if they suck in the playoffs, we probably suck. But October is a long time away from now.
