    The only thing i find disturbing is the lack of originality. Don't understand the anger and outrage though. It's not like remakes ruin the originals in any way. Jack Burton will remain exactly as you remember him if you just don't buy a ticket to the remake.

    My belief is it is like the allure of chain restaurants. People prefer to go with something familiar and mediocre instead of taking a chance on something different that could great (or terrible), but is not comfortable from the outset.

    For whatever reason, millions of people prefer going back to the Olive Garden again to taking a risk on something new.

    the movie was good because of john carpenter. All of his movies will eventually be ruined by pointless sequels.

    they should get rob zombie to direct this one also.
