    Brandishing implies waving it around. The scenario I posed does not involve brandishing. If this bill passes (which it will since the Governor said he will sign anything pro-gun), the guy in the car would have a gun legally holstered on his side and he simply gets out of his car.

    I don't see how anyone gets convicted for turning their body in a particular way. Even if the genuine intent is to brandish.

    But Butterfingers is right that openly carrying a weapon is going to change how people interact with you. Maybe that one guy in a million who had been intent on punching you in the face will think again. Panhandlers probably won't ask you for change. For the most part though, I don't think the changes will be good ones. And lord help you if you're black and choose to open carry.

    Single, subcompact. I do carry with extended mag.

    It does have a punch but not has bad as most people think for such a small pistol.

    Thank god. Last thing I want to see when I'm out picking up my dry cleaning is some dipsh-t standing in line behind me who forgot to bring enough bullets.

    It's going to be pretty cold comfort knowing that you were legally in the right for exposing your firearm if the other guy takes it as a threat and shoots you.
