I think Rick Carlisle is a fine coach, but I, too, believe he's a bit overhyped. Not as big of a discrepancy between him and McHale as some tend to believe.

 

No coach could have really fixed the Rondo situation Cuban saddled him with, outside of maybe Pop who may have just benched him. The Mavs having a historically good offense before that trade was very impressive, as much as that hurts to say. Carlisle deserves a ton of credit for that. He's elite
