More than five years ago, a Clinton confidant matter-of-factly described for me Hillary’s Plan. She would *resign as secretary of state after President Obama’s first term, write a book and then run for president again.
Check, check, and, with Sunday’s official launch, check again. Her to-do list is complete.
She stuck like glue to The Plan, which required years of misleading blabber from her and Bubba that she hadn’t decided about 2016. Fish gotta swim, and a Clinton’s gotta run, so there was never an iota of doubt.
But time has marched on and the world has changed, making The Plan, and her, look stuck in the past. What the great Murray Kempton wrote in 1965 of John Lindsay’s first mayoral run — “He is fresh and everyone else is tired” — is not something anybody says of Hillary these days.
She’s been on the national stage for a quarter-century, though because of all the drama, it feels like we’ve lived through several lifetimes with her. Along the way, she’s reinvented herself more often than Madonna. While the spectacle of an aging hoofer trying to keep up with the kids is riveting, the kicks aren’t what they used to be and the odor of desperation is unavoidable.

fat shaming ... sexism ... this thread would have been much more effective if you had criticized her policy positions.

I still believe you are still trolling us with a caricature of an overtly obtuse conservative **** all these years a la Stephen Colbert .
You can't be serious about this stuff in your real life.

He's not, it's his schtick. He gets his jollies much like a 3rd grade boy pulling the hair of the girl sitting in front of him in class.

    how was I sexist? I wasn't.

You lefties have simple minded responses -- much like any criticism of Barack = racism, any criticism of Hillary now equals sexism?

    Think more critically

G.O.P.: Evil Mastermind Behind Benghazi Is Frail Old Woman With Brain Damage

WASHINGTON—Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is an evil genius capable of masterminding the most elaborate cover-up in U.S. history and is also a frail old woman with brain damage, leading Republicans charged on Sunday.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus led the attack while appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” where he said that the American people should be wary of electing a woman who is capable of orchestrating the complex conspiracy to whitewash Benghazi while, at the same time, being too old, feeble, and brain damaged to serve in the Oval Office.

“These two aspects of Secretary Clinton would have me very concerned,” he said.

Mr. Priebus said he saw “no contradiction” between the portrayals of Secretary Clinton as an evil mastermind and a brain-damaged crone, explaining, “The one part of Secretary Clinton’s brain that works perfectly well is the part that creates elaborate cover-ups, and that is the part of her brain that is currently covering up the fact that she is brain damaged.”

The R.N.C. chairman said he was confident that once the American people realized Secretary Clinton is both an evil mastermind and a frail old woman with brain damage, they would reject her at the ballot box.

“The one thing the American people will not tolerate is double-talk,” he said.

If there are many attacks on Hillary Clinton for her weight and looks she will win in a landslide.

If I was on Hillary Clinton's team I would rejoice in attacks on her weight and looks as that will take pressure off of more substantive attacks regarding Clinton secrecy and closer scrutiny of the Global initiative, her time as Secretary of State and the as yet undefined role of what Bill Clinton will play in a Clinton Whitehouse. It will also play directly into a view of the GOP as being mysoginistic and shallow when it comes to women.

With all due respect, texxx, your sexist assaults on a former United States Senator and Secretary of State reveal you to be a pathetic creature, a creature so bored with life that your highlight of the day, I don't doubt, is coming down here to post a nonsensical diatribe against someone who makes you look like a child whining on a playground about being unfairly denied the ball by a girl. Is that what happened? In grade school, were you beaten like a red-headed stepchild at kickball by the girls? Did the girls call you Fatty? Do you still hold a grudge? So it would appear. Honestly, I feel sorry for you. Yes, you have my deepest sympathy. Try not to let past failures get you down. Good luck!
