I tried Googling this, but couldn't find a conclusive answer. Maybe someone here can help.

Is there any way I can work off of my Dell Latitude E7240 laptop while utilizing my MacBook air laptop as a secondary display. In other words, can I use my MacBook Air as an external monitor (so that I can have dual screens) while working from my Dell laptop?

most likely no. since dual screens are both software and hardware dependent, a mac and a windows os wouldn't work together that way.

Ugh. That's frustrating, especially when I can do something like wirelessly broadcast my MacBook Air to my Panasonic TV.

Your E7420 should have Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi) technology.

I believe it does (it's a brand new Dell). Are you saying I can wirelessly do this?

Update -- I ended up just buying this portable external monitor instead.

    4.9" x 9.26" x 0.26" and just 1.6 lbs.
