It was Luol Deng 3pt buzzer beater at the end of 1q against Brooklyn Nets. And Heat won by 4, although if not that 3pter - Nets could've had 1pt lead with less than 20 seconds to the end of the game

Harden doesn't travel. He is doing a delayed gather than HSers and College kids can't do, and only a handful of NBA players can execute. That's why you don't see Harden style dribbling in College and HS,,,not because of officiating, but because he's so special at executing a dribble that is contrary to normal behavior.

Normal behavior is to gather off your backstep, which means your lead foot is Step 1. The best of the best Pros gather only after backstep leaves the floor, which mean the lead foot way out in front of them is the pivot foot...but most people think that's step 1.

It is not Step 1. That lead foot is the pivot foot because the back foot is off the ground at "gather." We are just watching an incredible dribbler in Harden.

This. I can't really explain how Harden does it so I say grey area. The coordination to do this and have it come so natural to Harden is ridiculous.
