Running the way he runs he would have got broke off sooner or later and now he's scared to run and can't play in the pocket... That's not Shanahan's fault.

Just wondering, but where's the evidence showing that he's such a locker room cancer / diva? Didn't think there was any hint of this being an issue in his draft talk.

It seems like all the evidence is just the media saying he's being a diva/ locker room cancer...Maybe WAS is just in shambles as an organization and the media is taking it out on him?

Would anyone take a flier on him in Houston, or does he look that finished?

This is RG3's second consecutive "relationship problem" with a head coach. This is a pattern HE needs to break. Making excuses for the guy is part of the problem.

Eventually a person has to look in the mirror and point the finger at himself. No use in blabbering in the media about teammates or other QBs. Just execute plays. When you don't, fess up or shut up. Simple as that.

Throw out the old press clippings. Forget the Heisman and Baylor. Forget the rookie season. Forget being a leader or spokesman. Forget fan adulation. RG3 should focus on the task at hand and let the other stuff come later.

I was on his bandwagon in a big way but he's clearly fallen off the rails. Apparently nobody in his circle had the courage to tell him to shut up and just play. Unfortunately, Gruden did that in a very public, humiliating way.

Next season will be his 3rd coach in 4 years.

All valid points. But the first NFL coach RG3 had was facing losing his job and played the kid while he was injured, making a serious injury into what now appears to be a career altering one.

Washington is like Raiders-East Coast. That is a disfunctional organization and not the place for a developmental project.

Shanahan wasn't in danger of losing his job when RG3 played at the end of 2012 and in the playoffs after getting injured. Daniel Snyder also made it clear that decisions were made between the team and Dr. James Andrews with no input from the coach. You also can't blame Shanahan for RG3's recklessness when running the ball. That's 100% on him.

I also don't accept the organization dysfunction argument either. That is nothing more than a cop out. As much as anyone, RG3 himself is responsible for much of the recent dysfunction because he can't keep his big mouth shut.

Washington would do that in a second, if they could. But that has zero chance of happening.

There were whispers of it in HS and at Baylor too. You just don't hear much complaining when you are winning and your QB is putting up huge numbers.

He deserves another shot outside of Washington, but it is approaching sink or swim.

Yeah, there was a report about his attitude predraft...I remember one. As a Skins fan who heard it (as did most all of us who did), I chalked it up to haters gonna hate.

He's done. I do believe Shanny ruined him, even though he had a hand in that decision, it's still Shanny 90%, RG3 10% fault for that day. Since that day, it's been RG3 100% at fault for being stubborn, selfish, and unable to grow as a QB. Prior to the injury, he was a superstar athlete who had enough QB skills to be a great QB. Nowadays, he's just another above average NFL athlete who can't overcome his plethora of QB shortcomings. Damn.

I would kill for it just to see Johnny play behind Colt and the subsequent Aggie meltdown.

    Losing the locker room, damn!

I always had the weird feeling that he'd bust in the NFL even though I was a huge fan in college. Maybe he turns it around somewhere else, but I wouldn't want him in Houston.

The Redskins need to use their first round draft pick on a new owner.
