    ^^^

Win - you have got to check out The Cheatahs!! Other than the Sleepover Disaster, they are the best of the nu-gazing bands.

The Comsat Angels - Sleep No More
Joe Gibbs - African Dub Almighty Chapter 4
    The Slits - Cut

I hear ya, Manny and am familiar with 'Cheatas'. I always kinda shrug when people say there aren't any new good bands or great music like the old days. There are ALWAYS good new bands; just have to dig thru more crap to find them.

I weekly turn in to Jack Rabids' 1 hr show on BTR http://www.breakthruradio.com/#/post/?blog=21&post=2769 to keep abreast of new music I know I will be interested in. His tastes are similar to mine (loves shoe/nu-gaze and 60's pop) is the editor of The Big Takeover, and keeps me from being jaded. Of course, this very thread is a great resource as well.

Muscle Shoals doc is awesome. If you like that, check out the doc Tom Dowd and the Language of Music. Guy had an amazing life.

VoodooPope told me I should look up Moon Hooch.... so I did. I was instructed to thank him later... and I did.

Kinda reminds me of CasioKids, except lower tech. Pretty basic, and they have some more produced sounding songs, but this just appealed to me.
