I know we're in the midst of a FA crisis, but I've been trying to think of potential coaching additions that might help in our planing and strategy. Although Shane just retired, I could see him being a highly valuable assistant to McHale. His BBall IQ is enormous and his passion/energy would be a welcome addition to our bench. He's just come off 4 straight finals appearances and 2 championships. Adding this winner to our bench, could make a big difference in our planning, preparation and execution on the defensive side of our game strategy. Agree/Disagree or other options. BTW, I hated losing a shot at Hollins.
This team needs a damn good defensive coach in the worst way, its gotta be one of the most important moves they make this offseason IMO. I actually like Battier but who else is out there?

There are 50 college games a week that someone has to call. He will work his way up, but I think in a couple of years he will be a main guy.

Stop making crap up. Battier had a great relationship with the front office. There were was even talk about him coming back as a coach when his playing days were over.
Yea, he will spend a few years at ESPN. I expect him to be our first reach out once our time with McHale is through.
