    I would think they may plan on releasing Valdes. Just bring back Mike Gallo and be done with it. :)

    If Sipp comes directly to the Astros, he will be their 6th black player (unless he would replace Williams). That is a significant number. 24% of their major league roster will be black which dwarfs the 8% average. Quite a change from past years.

    No. I do not consider Dominicans to be black and I do not think Dominicans consider themselves to be black. (not sure who "etc" is so I can't comment as to that part of your question). The more blacks in baseball, the better it is for baseball as it involves a large segment of the population and it gets more people interested in the game and it makes the game better. Any time a product can be improved, I am all for it.
