And every single person who watches those skits on youtube will be clicking that "skip ad" option. Fallon wont even beat letterman. Maybe he will for a few weeks but he will be lucky to get kimmel numbers. Honestly it makes no sense to get rid of jay

Debating talk show hosts and who is better is a complete waste of time. I don't care who you like any more than you care who I like. The simple fact is each host has an audience and there are enough people who like each host for them to have their own show on TV and sustain it. Does he deserve it...has got nothing to do with anything. It's who the NBC big wigs selected because they were ready to dump the current host. And, if the ratings go south, they will be ready to pounce yet again.

Jimmy Fallon staying in NY is so weak dude. It's not like what Conan was doing when he was doing late night and he had to make that big shift moving to California. Doesn't make sense that Fallon is doing all these farewell to late night song when he's going to be in the same damn building for the tonight show is he not?

All of the late-night shows are pretty mediocre. Most of them can be funny every once in awhile, but for the most part they're all kinda boring. Ferguson's probably the least bad.

    THIS!
Fallon wasn't going anywhere and Leno/The Tonight Show was still beating Kimmel and Letterman.
Now NBC have no choice but to be patient for as long as possible, 2,3 years if need be, until Fallon beats Letterman or Kimmel at that time slot.

Well he is leaving late night.....Just because he's going across the hall doesn't mean it won't still a big change for him and the crew. New time slot, different faces, different content probably, bigger guests, more exposure, etc. It's the start of a new era for NBC.
