Random Houston Rockets Trade Ideas - 2013-14

Final guess:

ATL asks for a 1st + Asik for Millsap, Morey refuses.

PHI offers Hawes + Turner, Daryl counters with Hawes + a 2nd.

Done.

May not be the sexy move everyone wanted, but it's a good fit at zero risk due to expiring contract.

 

I'd take that Asik+1st for Millsap. That 1st will be very late. It's not much more valuable than an early 2nd rounder.

Adding that type of pick and getting Millsap is a better deal than getting Hawes. If the Rockets get Millsap, they are scary. They'd be as good as anyone.

 

Portland gets Asik and Lin
Houston gets Robin Lopez, Wesley Mathews and Mo Williams.

 

I would, too. But I have doubts Daryl wants to give up any 1st round pick, regardless of position.

 

Unless the Rockets get someone like Millsap or better, I think Rockets will try to get Green and Lee from the Celtics. I don't think the Celtics will want Asik so whatever the Celtics want will need to come from a third team like the Sixers. Brewer would need to be added for salary purposes.
