    An NBA source said the Rockets, who dealt him to the Sixers on July 6 along with a second-round pick and Turkish power forward Furkan Aldemir for future considerations and cash, are picking up the $1.7 million salary of White, who has an anxiety disorder and is afraid to fly. That means the Sixers have nothing invested in White — and that the 21-year-old Aldemir was the primary target in the deal, which the source confirmed. "

    I was a fan of his going into the season, made some defensive posts. I really wanted him to get it together, prove haters wrong... HA! Those Philly fans will get it, eventually

    I didn't realize this was in doubt. When a team is willing to pay a guys salary, it's pretty much assumed he wasn't in demand.

    I also find it surprising that anybody older than maybe 15 years old who knows anything about the NBA didn't realize that the only reason Philly made that deal was to get Aldemir. I knew that immediately. Look for Philly to use its remaining cap space to exploit other teams looking to dump salary, probably taxpaying teams like the Lakers, Bulls, and Raptors.
