All we need is Parsons doing Champion then we have 2/3rd of First take on our side. Not that its a big deal though.

Is it me, or does it seem like Parsons is becoming severely overrated as a basketball player? I've seen quite a few non-Rockets fans post things like "Harden/Parsons/Howard core..." as if Parsons should be in the mix there.

Don't get me wrong. Generally Rockets players are underhyped and underappreciated. So I love this. But it's kind of amazing how a role player on a slightly above average team(before Howard) suddenly garnering so much national attention.

Why settle for 2/3rd? Parsons can do Skip, too.

Well, he can do everything. Shoot, pass, drive, rebound, defend. He has a powerful agent, and he is marketable. He had a tremendous OKC series.

All of those give him that attention.

He's our Kawhi Leonard. People that I've talked to about basketball(non Rockets fans) seem to put him in that tier.

I wouldn't say overrated, he is definitely part of our core.

His position on this team is similar to Ibaka. Part of the core but not the all-stars.

He had a good playoff series against OKC. Fair or not, the playoff performance contributes a lot to the public perception of the player. I would say the perception of Parsons and Bev went up due to the playoff performance. Fair or not, that's the way it works.

No player is a super-star until he makes his teammates better by playing with him. Melo is an all-star thinking that he's a super-star. A big difference with Melo and Harden vs. LeBron is LeBron can actually play D. Basically, Melo and Harden are super-stars when it comes to the offense, but they are scrubs when it comes to D. I would say Melo plays a better D than Harden. Can you imagine MJ just playing hard on offense? It's like someone who makes good money but keep on spending a lot; sometimes, a person who manages the money well but makes only a decent amount comes out ahead.
