There is no understanding of LOH logic. While LOF's are annoying as well, LOH's are something else. I tried to see where they are coming from, because as a Heat fan, there's a certain level of hate for Mario (or Wario, depending on the game) Chalmers, but nothing comes close to the hate the LOH's show to Jeremy. He's just as inconsistent and turnover prone, and it drives all Heat fans mad. I know it's a tired argument, but there absolutely has to be an underlying bit of racial tension involved for the true haters such as Justin Holmes. That's the only explanation. And this does not include all the posters who fairly criticize Lin's game, I'm only talking about a select few haters.
I understand that you definitely can improve your handling somewhat with drills, but how many players show a marked improvement? If Lin is working on his handling and is staying with the Rockets maybe they should bring Howard and Asik in on these drills... If Royce White's playing career ends soon, maybe he can be their coach.
I don't think it's racial, I think it's Linsanity blowback. Just like there are a bunch of people who will never like Tim Tebow as a QB, even though he helped his team win a play-off game (which used to be a measure of a pretty decent QB). Guys get attention they don't "deserve" & they get jealous.
Most great PGs also have high TOs also great Rockets. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ycn-8448675
yawn. and you know there's a multi quote so you don't have to spam the page with 3-4 separate posts. its bad enough with just one of your posts
Direct quotes from Lin himself and I'm paraphrasing a bit since I'm too lazy to look them up: When asked what the opposing team's scouting report on him would look like: Lin said, make him go left, put pressure on his dribble... After the Miami game, Lin says: I don't remember another game where it was so hard just to take dribbles... Direct from the horse's mouth. Nuff said.
In the Miami game, Lin's teammates didn't help him at all. He is the only player handling the ball and couldn't pass to his teammates. Jared Jefferies admitted they ought to help him more.
can't beat the Heats with PNR. Their D are so fast and intense. Teams must get better on their jump-shooting and low post games.
Always an excuse. I watched that game live. They had Lin bottled up and flustered. His ball handling has improved since then but come on. Just acknowledge he had a terrible game and move on.
This was a back-to-back game for Lin, not the Heats. Lin had a great game beating D-Will. It's too naive to judge a player based on 1 game. Harden also has a game with 10 TOs, but no one picks on him or call him TO machine, even he get paid more than Lin.
I'm not judging him by one game. To be honest, that game is irrelevant to me. I saw enough of him last year to know that he doesn't respond well to pressure defense. Now, there's not a lot of guys in the league that are good enough on ball defenders to apply that type of pressure, but the ones that are will always be a problem for Lin.
That this still has to be explained is freakin ridiculous. Those guys have the ball so much more than Lin. The more you control the ball the more turnovers you are going to have. If Lin had as much control of the ball as Harden and played the minutes he did his TO per game would at least be at the level of Hardens. People like to say TOV% isn't an accurate judge because of the number of shot attempts can skew the number but I do think it has some relevance and Lins isn't very good. This is why people bring up his turnovers. That being said both Lin and Harden need to bring those numbers down.
