I don't think it was repeated on the last couple of pages -- V-Span does not say Thibs was the real head coach in his comments, it's just some BS fantasy of the OP. V-Span says Thibs did the bulk of the coaching work in practices -- which is probably appropriate for assistant coaches -- and at no point does he take a shot at van Gundy. Save your V-Span hate for another thread. There's nothing to see here.

Wait, where in hell did VSpan say that during the interview? No direct quotes?

So this is all made up by OP?

    LOL at people freaking out

the original article was picked from a website

the additional news that I posted were posted under this thread because it was the first one that came up in my search for Spanoulis...

not pumping the man, it's history, but posting news on a player that was with the Rockets..

Good point though there was no love lost between JVG and V-Span. He didn't exactly leave the NBA because he was enjoying playing under JVG.

Nope, he left the NBA for largely the same reason as Matt Maloney, Moochie Norris, etc.

He's successful doing what he wants to do, leave him alone. OTOH, I'm glad he's not here.

The NEW news has LITERALLY NO CONNECTION to the original story, though.

    Misplaced bump

    agreed

There is already a thread in the other forum about the "news" that you bumped this thread about.

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=7937016#post7937016

and since the thread title is a total lie, this thread should have never made it this long....an oversight I will now rectify.
