    I agree. But he wasn't raising up to dunk it. He was raising up for a layup. His first reaction is to lay it up instead of dunk it.

    I think its a self-protection thing. They can't afford to get emotionally invested cause they know they're only going to get disappointed - I mean it's guaranteed they are going to be disappointed. :p
