    Sounds all legit to me.

For people wondering about the Lin effect on profit, read this(especially the example).

    http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q24

Even with revenue sharing, the contribution limits plays an important role. If Rockets benefits from Lin's impact, they would get most of the related profit however big it is(WOW).

I’m not questioning the OP’s legitimacy since he has been right on some instances in the past. BUT I’m sorry if Morey’s goal is to win a championship it’s not going to happen with Harden, Lin, Parsons and any combination of Asik or Bynum at the 5 and Smith or Milsap at the 4. We’d be a hell of a playoff team but that doesn’t look like a championship line-up to me.

Adding Smith or Milsap AND a healthy Bynum will make us really good team but not a contender. So, then why go for Smith and Milsap?

Let's say we trade TRob + TJones + any combination of expirings for a legit back-up center, Trade Greg Smith for a decent back-up combo guard, and sign Josh Smith or Millsap who can play some 3 as well, and DMo develops.

Then we'd have a pretty legit line-up from starters to back-ups. We may not win the championship immediately. But assuming we didn't overpay for Smith/Millsap, we could continue to upgrade next season with Lin, Asik, Smith/Millsap all one favorable contracts.

I'd love Mayo as our 6th man and R. Lopez as our back-up center. Brooks, Mayo, TRob, Lopez as our bench rotation with this current line-up -- I'm VERY content with that.

Why would OJ Mayo, who is having a breakout year and starting, sign with the Rockets to be a backup, and likely take a huge paycut?

And why would the rockets want Mayo? He is going to be a overpaid and overrated.

Good Read... I actually heard that the Rockets were worried about over paying PPat too much money..

Milsap > Josh Smith > Bynum

Josh Smith has one of the worst decision makings in game

Yep, a 24 year old who gets 14 rebounds per game while scoring 23 points and hitting 40% of our 3s actually fits in pretty well with our team.

But wait, he missed a few games over the years with small non-reoccurring injuries and had a concussion once so he's injury prone. :( And that one time he sat out for one game cause he sprained his thumb.. can't forget that!

The Robin Lopez ship has sailed away last summer --> there is no way NOH trade him unless we overpay (and they are set at the powerforward). One of best value contracts in the league.

    Cyberx

    - Why Brooks again? He is still small and plays little to no defence PLUS he is even more of a chuncker than he was

    - Is Timmy O. in the long terms plans? How good is he?

-Are there any inquiry about Greg Smith? What is value in the league vs our team?

-Is Jones a trade chip or in the long term plans? How good is he?

-Is there a chance for Mike Denleavy or Randy Foye in free agency?

Why would we sign SVG to recruit Dwight? Didn't dwight hate SVG and get him fired, or something along those lines?
