[Games] SimCity 2013

Have you tried playing with your Internet turned off? I travel quite a bit and it would really annoying if at te airport I discover I can't play it at all.

 

It's pretty simple. Don't buy it. **** EA and DRM. The Sims already made like a billion dollars so I don't know the reason for them to do this ****.

 

lol. I was by a GameStop parking lot, so I thought I'd check in on this thread. After reading it, I think I'll continue waiting. :grin:

Nice!..but why did they have to make the cities so small. They need larger cities in the expansion pack then I might buy.

The new game engine is very CPU-intensive. A larger city would be unplayable for a lot of people.

 

I made the mistake of Pre ordering the game @ Direct2play.com

I've bought a number of games from them, I'll never preorder from them again. Probably won't get a key for at least another 2 days.

No biggie, no time to play anything till Friday anyways.

What size do you want the region to be? Maximum is around 16 city region, minimum is 3 city region.

How does it compare to Simcity4 Red? Is the global system thing kicking in or is it just the graphics that are better than SC4?

 

I changed servers to join you guys and now this thing is just checking for updates non stop and I can't log on. ARGH!

 

I've played for a total of about 2 hours. Had a city that started struggling at 25,000 people, so I just started over this morning. I need more free time.

 

Its veerrryyyy very buggy, its ghey but you just have to have patience it may be a week before it all gets worked out, stupid E.A...

As for the guy who asked about the game, I dropped a good 10-12 hours into it yesterday on about 5 or 6 cities... It veryyyyyyy fun, Intercity play looks like it will be fantastic although it seems a bit difficult to communicate to everyone. The city specialization is awesome and yes you can change it or have all the specialties that you want.

My original Oil Empire I built turned into a global trading transport and oil city.. I also have a lovely avenue that is open next to the water I'm about to turn this thing into a trading, oil, gambling behemoth WITH a university. I don't have much industry however cause I didn't want that pollution, oh well.

 

Anyone make the city? I just did but will abandon it if someone else already did. If not message me Pwnalott for invite

I remember my boss at the video store had this on Windows '95. This was back in 1994.

 

yeah i remember alien invasions, it was great. don't know if that still happens
