    But you're also stuck with the extra contract after this year. I would rather TD walk for nothing than take on additional salary. You are correct that Boston is full of gross contracts that I suspect Morey wants no part of. Trading TD or Aldrich should not be the priority. Trading Patterson/Morris for expirings and pick should be. Unfortunately, because of Boston's severely unbalanced (contract-wise) roster, you would almost have to have a third team to deal with them.

    According to Regularized Adjusted Plus Minus Avery was not as good a defensive player as Lin last year and was much worse on offense:

    RAPM is much more accurate than raw +/- and it's well documented that Morey considers massaged +/- to box scores for evaluating players.

    no. he can't even start a draganity when he is clearly the main guy on his team. he can pile up his whatever #s he wants. that means nothing when suns kept losing. that means he didn't make his teammates better.

    do you remember mike james when he was with toronto?

    He didn't say that. Also, Morey, when he first became the GM in 07, is a big proponent of APM.

    Actually he did say publicly available defensive stats are useless in a radio interview w/Dan Le Batard.

    I assume he was talking about all the free defensive stats that are derived from +/- & boxscores.
