    Which one do you think is more impressive?

    The NFC winning 13 consecutive Super Bowls (1985-1997) which goes back from Super Bowl XIX(19) through Super Bowl XXXI(31).

    The SEC currently winning 7 consecutive BCS National Championships dating back to the 2006-07 college football season.

    The Super Bowl is the culmination of a tournament of the most successful teams in a fairly static league, the BCS is the b*stard child of a popularity contest and phony Bowl system. Both are somewhat indicative of long-term organizational decisions or priorities more aligned with winning than ticket sales or, in the case of SEC, academic excellence of any kind. In many ways I think the Death Penalty was the best thing that happened to the SWC as UT, A&M, SMU and U of H all seemed to drastically improve academically.

    The Super Bowl streak easily. It's not even close.

    It's insulting to even compare the NFL to college. Everything means much more in the NFL, and it's a much harder thing for one conference to pull off in professional sports.
