The D&D leans very left. There's a lot of youth in here, which tends to lean democratic, as well as minority youth (Asians, Indians, blacks, etc) which tend to be extremely liberal. They attempt "pile-on techniques" to try to strengthen their weak positions and intimidate the right, but the majority of the board sees through this, as it's been exposed time and time again.

Apparently "statist" on this BBS means "it's not that I don't like regulations, I just don't like YOUR regulations". We are all statists, you included.

 

People who like to throw around extremist terms like "statists" will find it intimidating.

 

It makes about as much sense as if I called conservatives "anarchists".

 

Ascertaining the situation, I believe this is the appropriate response.

I've always found that the people who throw out the statist card are heavy talk radio listeners.

 

The answer is yes, but why you find this to be an unusual quality of he BBS is beyond me. Most people in the world are statists, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
