    Blue bloods and yuppies helped integrate this country too, it was white immigrants and under-educated white Southerners who had the most reason to defend segregation for 100 years. I won't pretend they didn't originally vote Dem, even though conservative commentators and thinkers were anti-integrationist across the board.
