Yes, it wasn't the best timing, but given how radical and crazy Paul's supporters are, that's just what happened.

 

Say what you want about the Paul people (and I agree, they are nuts), they followed the rules and earned a bunch of delegates. And then the Romney people decided to change the rules and not to sit those people in many states, just because. There's no real reason the ones that did make it shouldn't revolt over being treated unfairly. The rules may suck, but then you change them for the next convention - it's pretty ridiculous to say "hey vote in primaries, but if we don't like the outcome, we're going to change the results to better suit us."

 

I'm not supporting Ron Paul, I think his followers are crazy and his policies are crap.
However, I'm dumbfounded to know that you are OK with the precedent for Republicans to just hush away legitimate candidates because they don't like them.

 

What Romney did in regards to the Paul delegates is a slap in the face to Democracy. It's like when the Soviet Union would have elections and surprise surprise the Communists would always win.

Major said it best. Paul plaid by his rules, but the people who run the party didn't like the outcome, so they changed the rules.

 

Not the first time the rules have changed last minute for repubs.

They really were scrapping the bottom of the barrel to meet their quota. The crowd looked really diverse too, I think it was maybe only 98% white, I did notice a few black and American Indians strategically placed in camera view.

Which ones, why? What did he even get passed in Congress other than Obamacare, a Republican proposed plan that hasn't even been implemented yet. What are the real proposed alternatives and what basis of history, or economic theory suggest they will create demand?
