Well we also have a faulty corporate dominated insurance reform bill that will help a significant portion of the uninsured get insurance. Though most of the folks who will benefit from it don't realize it yet.

I suppose we are withdrawing in defeat basically a bit faster from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Wall Street and the 1% are still scoring big time till the next crash when hopefully we will have a more gutsy leader.

 

I just read the article and it does make Obama's numerous compromises seem a bit more sympathetic.

WRT to race we unfortunately might still need a white president if we are going to make significant advances for the 99%. Black folks get it and still too many working class whites think they are sinking just because they are white.

I find it all the time with my poor white clients. They think their lives are hard somehow and can't get non-existent health care or social welfare benefits or social security disability benefits etc. "I guess I am just the wrong color to get these benefits".

 

Kind of like fear of Asian basketball players like Jeremy Lin.
