    The Rockets must know that there are teams with cap space that will put in a bid if he is amnestied now, but won't be able to if they wait any longer.

    I love Scola and it brings a tear to my rye that he no longer will be a Rocket :-(. I know this is for the better.

    Help me out here is there any possible way Morey would do this drastic move if he wasn't at least 98% sure the Howard deal was going through?

    He must have some kind of verbal agreement with the Magic GM. It would be a classless sh***y move and nobody would ever work with Hennigan again if Hennigan said "OK amnesty Scola so you can absorb the contract, then we have a deal" then went back on it, right?

    Oh no, sad to see us let go our best PF out of the 2131351120. I really wish we kept him and have a frontcourt of Howard/Scola. Oh well. Best of luck to Luis wherever he goes.

    If we really wanted to, I'm sure we could have traded scola later in the offseason. Someone would have given up a second for him. This has to be dwight. Right? Right?

    I hope he signs with an eastern conference team that's not the Raptors. Then again, looks like we won't be using t hat pick anyway.
