    I don't know what Charlotte is thinking, especially if they have a realistic shot at James Harden. He's better than any player that they could draft or acquire from the other teams.

    You ALWAYS go for the proven player when faced with a choice like that. Unless the athlete you're drafting happens to be LeBron James caliber guaranteed superstar.

    I'd trade #12 for Varejao in a heartbeat. People really think that #12 is worth more than a starting NBA PF who averages 11 and 11 and defends? Insanity.

    It would be stupid because you can package #12 for a higher pick. Varejao is not worth something that would've netted us a top 8 pick. Plus he has no upside left.

    you want him for a team thats ready to contend thats the only problem... not a team needing a direction or rebuild.
