    Great move by the Rockets. Budinger's fate was sealed when he got demonted for Parson's this past season. With Parson's the guy for now at the 3 and Morris hanging around, moving Budinger made sense and getting a 1st round pick for a guy we got in the 2nd round a few seasons back is a great return on investment.

    This also keeps Martin on board for the time being to sweeten the next deals. Now we have Lowry, Martin and 3 mid 1st round picks as ammo to move up into the draft for the chance to either draft a highly rated big and wing, or trade for Dwight.

    Either way, when we look back Budinger for the 18th pick is what set this all in motion.

    I think it is Morey taking advantage of Adelman. Remember Adelman telling him NEVER to trade Budinger when he was still here. This is what I call getting MAX value. Still, good deal for both team, Minny does not need another rookie, and like I've always believed, Bud does not have a future with the Rockets.

    According to @wojyahoonba, Houston also sends rights to Israeli Lior Eliyahu. The Rockets - who want assets for a Dwight Howard Deal - now have No. 14, No. 16 and No. 18 and are going to make it very difficult for Orlando to say no. Houston GM Daryl Morey has shown a willingness to deal for Howard despite the fact that he doesn't want to come and isn't likely to stay beyond next season.
