You have grounds to sue his professional/E&O/mal-practice insurance. Get an attorney that specializes in suing attorneys for mal practice.

Sue him for what? What is the damage? The husband's ape**** doesn't count.
If she intends to divorce and give the paper to her lawyer, that is it. If she didn't intend to divorce the husband, then she shouldnt have given the paper to lawyer.
