Yea man - something like this happened to me and for the first few days they just feed you intravenously and then after a few days your diet is restricted to just liquids, then once the infection starts to clear and your stomach can process foods better your diet consist of easily digestible foods like soft fruits, vegetables, yogurt, soups, jello, etc. it sucks cause your stomach shrinks and you lose alot of weight. Im sure Kyle is going through this process as we speak - it took me almost 2 months to get back to where i was before - and i lift wieghts and do cardio routinely.

They don't really feed u IV... I doubt they would start TPN if ur just keeping someone npo for a few days. At the most its just some dextrose but i even doubt that. Prob just normal saline for fluids

They better be putting some dextrose in his fluids if he's not eating anything.
