I'm not looking for best brand opinions just where to go for the best deal.

Sears and Home Depot both are offering a 10% discount to beat anyone else on the same model. Anyone have luck with this and wish to share their story?

Anyone bought one online? I noticed Amazon sells W/Ds....

    Thanks!

We did something similar with Sears and had a 12-month no-interest deal. Also got our fridge there under the same deal. Worked out great.

You could try Sears' scratch & dent outlets.

Honestly, Sears is the best way to go. There is a certain night (the employee working there will tell you) where there is a special discount on certain items including washer/dryer sets. We bought one that day along with an extra discount of 10% and a substantial amount off delivery. The people who delivered it carried it up to the second floor of our house and were pretty nice. The washer/dryer works great as well. Great experience.

Might as well piggyback. Going to be in the market for a new Washer. I don't want to use my washboard abs anymore to do laundry.

What do your wives* like more? Front Load or Top load?

Lowe's should beat both of these prices by 10%, just be sure you take some proof with you.

I think the front loaders are more visually appealing and with the pedestals you don't have to stoop over so much. (Keep in mind the extra $500 bucks though). My wife wants a front load.

    Price match FTW!!

I was curious and started the thread because both Home Depot and Sears are running a "we will not only match but also beat any competitor by 10%" campaign....

I was hoping someone here might have experience with utilizing this to their advantage.

Well, from experience with sears, I know they give extra discounts on certain things. If you can get price match + 10% off + more discount somewhere else, then I would go with sears. I don't know much about Home Depot though

Sears Outlet is awesome ... We found a very nice front-loading Washer/Dryer set that had a little nick on the side (can't even see it where our Washer/Dryer go) and it has worked awesome for the last 4 years. We paid about 50% of what we would have paid for the same thing in most appliance stores.

We got ours here in CA, but I believe there are a couple in Houston

If you're a big baller shot caller, and/or just a nerd, you want this dryer from Samsung
