    Paying the equivalent of roughly 2/3 of Thabeet's one-year contract for a starting player's entire 4-year contract? If that's not a steal, I don't know what is.

    I like both of those players. But Parsons shows more mental toughness than Hayward, which imo makes up for the lesser athleticism.

    On a side note, with Lowry's "best-non-rookie" contract of 5.75 mil
    and Chandler's <~$1 mil/yr deal we have the potential of 2 quality starters for less than $7 million per year.

    That means for the next 3 years, we can spend the extra cap space for true stars who are deserving of max contracts.

    Pirate indeed.
