You know not a bad comparison... except Chambers played Power Forward. And of course I think the book is still out on Chandler's outside shot while Tom was a skilled marksman shooting the ball from the outside.

Both same body types and both athletic. Tom was a little bigger I think but not much.

Since you mentioned Tom Chambers I thought a video would be in order.

so, in summary, he's good when he is confident and not good when things are going bad?? so basically he is like 99.9% of the entire population? lol

Good to see another Gator fan! Good post too, although i personally don't think his mental makeup is bad..sure he will have some shooting streaks but everyone does...

I think Tom was about 6'10" too. He played more outside than inside (6'2" guard in high school with a 7-8" growth spurt so he had handles) and attacked with reckless abandon. I agree about the shooting, but Parsons seems to have improved in that area a bit already.

That dunk on Mark Jackson, who must have been thinking, "Momma, there goes that man!" as he got dunked on, was exactly what I was thinking about in the comparison.

might be the best comparison so far. yep...we would all be wetting our pants if Eddie Griffin was doing this in game 8...but a 2nd rounder...not so much.

Y'know, we might be better off with Parsons not shooting anything but wide open shots. He's a good slasher and he brings a lot to the team otherwise.

Perhaps we got a bigger steal than we realize. A true lottery pick that was underachieving in college?
