It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia [Season 7]

I can't believe Rob actually gained 60 pounds just for comedy.

 

Yeah, they're pretty funny promos. Hopefully we get another good season!

I hope this season is better than lasts. I felt it took a pretty good fall.

 

They did have a kid so it's possible it's just nature.

I'm thinking he gained weight, realized the show was around the corner and said...you know, it would kind of be funny if i came back fat.

Season 6 sucked!!!!!!!

 

I think it's been pretty strong, but the League was the better show week after week that it's harder to not let the comparison dim one's outlook of Sunny. I just can't wait until Thursdays roll around every week with 2-3 hours of good comedy waiting on the dvr.

 

Sunny is one of my favorite comedies of all time, but last season I continually thought The League was better than Sunny Season 6. I think "The Gang buys a Boat", 'Mac and Charlie: White Trash" and "The gang gets stranded in the Woods" were the only episodes that were really funny.

 

You and I share similar views on Season 6. The episodes you list are my faves. The League is a beautiful thing (and I've never played in a fantasy league of any kind).

I started to feel bad for Sunny last season. Almost seemed like they should have been on separate nights. Because of the kids, I'd record both and watch later that night. I started to make sure that I watched Sunny first so that it would have to live up to a much funnier The League.

 

Here's a really tough question: Always Sunny or Arrested Development?

 

Really think they are both different brands of comedy, Arrested Development had some incredibly smart scripts.

 

Sunny is great sometimes but for my money nothing tops AD.

 

arrested devs two best seasons are better than always sunnys two best seasons, but at this point i like sunny better.

i thought arrested devs last seasons was a major drop-off - charlize theron is hot, but that whole plotline was a waste. i actually havent watched since went off air - need to revisit soon.
