For all of you Morey Haters-

You have to give him credit for getting out from under bad contracts quickly. Ariza and now Miller. Instead of digging in, he corrects these fast.

    Moving on...

    Lowry/Scola/Bud for Bosh?

    That's right, I went there.

    Hello $1.3M in cap space.

Let's go all out for Marc Gasol! It would be funny if we used Memphis pick to get the cap space.

Love it...depending on how protected that future first is....

And I don't think much of Flynn or Donatas.

How many players do we need......

Is Motiejunas playing here next year? Flynn???? WTF!

I like Motiejunas and Morris as our draft, but we have too many players.

You know, one interesting thing about trading away the 1st rounder for TWill; it takes away the stress of the phrase "Future-First Rounder", since we know it can't be the Rockets' own pick, it's going to be relatively worthless ( >20). Don't have to worry about the protection (which usually doesn't leak out until much, much later).

    RyenRussillo just tweeted:

"Mchale apparently loved Montiujunas in a workout. Morey trying to package both coach and player for Dwight Howard."

What. The. Hell. Does that mean?

I don't know anything about this guy, can someone post a scouting report or something?

Also, what is Flynn's contract status?

My guess: Morey is assuming we'll move up in the standings in the next couple of years and that our #1s would be late in the round. He's proven pretty adept at picking up 2nd-rounders, either by trade or buying them outright. And in Morey's hands, an early 2nd-round pick will get us a player about the same quality as a late 1st-rounder.
