I would say it is a household account. For example, if I am on the road, I should be able to use it on my iPad while my wife uses it at home on the Roku.

I agree that they should figure out a way to allow three (probably a good number) simultaneous username accesses.

 

I like that idea, I just wonder how hard it is to implement. MLB.tv allows several users to be logged into the same account at one time.. makes me wonder how difficult it really is to limit that.

 

One device at a time? Hell no. There are several times a week when my family has multiple streams going.

Also, as others have said, IP ranges vary wildly.

What they need to do is implement shared key or some other type of heavy security.

 

MLB used to only allow one login at a time a few years ago. I found that if I did not log out of my account on my desktop after watching a game, I could not log in on my laptop to watch a game.

 

Torrent everything.

 

That is why you would pay for 3 simultaneous users. Say $7.99 for the 1 device and $9.99 for 3.

I would have to pay for the multiple devices, but it is what I would do if I ran Netflix.
