    You must be kidding. Dewhurst isn't half a bad as Perry. Not even close. Sure, he's a weak leader, one of the weakest Lt. Governors in many a moon (the weakest I can recall, and I can recall a bunch of them), and he's more than happy to roll over with his feet in the air, rather than tick off the Far Right/Fundamentalist wing of the GOP, but Dewey would be a vast improvement over Perry, all things being relative.

    No love on here for Commodore Perry? Sure, he's little long in the tooth, by which I mean he's been dead for 150 years, but he has the military experience and the foreign policy chops to be a great President.
